Invitation to Frontiers in Neuroscience and Brain Diseases, a sub-forum of the Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars

Forum Introduction

The 10th Fudan University Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars Sub-forum on Frontiers in Neuroscience and Brain Disorders is jointly organized by the Institute for Translational Brain Research and the SANS Neuroscience Center. This forum aims to build an academic exchange platform for outstanding young scholars from around the world in relevant research fields. Through academic seminars and talent recruitment talks, the forum will focus on international academic frontiers, explore hot topics in the field, promote academic exchange and collaboration, and bring together global talents to Fudan University.

We cordially invite outstanding young scholars worldwide who are dedicated to research in frontiers of neuroscience and brain disorders to register for the forum.

Research Directions

The forum covers research areas related to neuroscience, translational medicine, and interdisciplinary fields involving medicine, science, engineering, and pharmacy. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Applicant Categories and Requirements

I. Young Talent

1. Law-abiding, with sound ideological and political integrity. Demonstrate strong academic ethics, adhere to professional teaching standards, and have a passion for education and scientific research.

2. Generally under the age of 38.

3. Hold a Ph.D. from a renowned domestic or international university, with postdoctoral research experience.

4. Academically dynamic, capable of independently conducting high-level original research, have achieved influential academic accomplishments in their field, show great potential for future development, and meet the basic requirements for national young talent programs.

II. Super Postdoctoral Fellow

1. Law-abiding, with sound ideological and political integrity. Demonstrate strong academic ethics, adhere to professional teaching standards, and have a passion for education and scientific research.

2. Generally under the age of 35.

3. Outstanding doctoral candidates soon to obtain a Ph.D., or those who have obtained a Ph.D. within the past three years from prestigious domestic or international institutions.

4. Demonstrated outstanding research achievements.

1. General Package: Internationally competitive annual salary with no upper limit on performance-based bonuses. About the Institute for Translational Brain Research

The Institute for Translational Brain Research (ITBR; http://itbr.fudan.edu.cn/), Fudan University, was established in 2019 as an independent research institute affiliated with Fudan University. It is jointly supported by the Shanghai Medical College, the State Key Laboratory of Brain Function and Brain Disorders, and the MOE Frontiers Center for Brain Science. The current director is Academician Wang Yizheng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As an academic special zone within Fudan University, ITBR participates in Shanghais High-Level Local University Construction Program and adopts internationally aligned management and operational mechanisms. About the SANS Neuroscience Center

The Fudan SANS Neuroscience Center (FSNC) is a secondary-level research entity strategically established by Fudan University in the field of neuroscience and translational brain disease research. With the mission of deciphering brain principles and conquering major brain diseases,the center is committed to building an integrated innovation system spanning from mechanistic discovery and target identification to drug development, aiming to advance the diagnosis and treatment of major brain disorders such as stroke, Alzheimers disease (AD), and Parkinsons disease (PD). Located in Building No. 3 for Scientific Research at Fudan Universitys Zhangjiang Campus, the center draws upon Fudan Universitys rich academic heritage and extensive clinical resources, offering the following significant advantages:

World-Class Resource System:

The center has secured multiple resources from both within and outside the university, including dedicated funding and policy support from the Shanghai Academy of Natural Sciences (SANS) and the Shanghai Municipal Talent Bureau.
