Laboratory Introduction

Dr. Lin Zhong's laboratory focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive processes, including perception (vision), decision-making, learning, and memory, as well as the neural circuits and neural computations involved in these functions. The laboratory primarily uses mice as model organisms, employing virtual reality technology to simulate real-world scenarios and train mice to perform various cognitive tasks. The lab utilizes large-scale calcium imaging (recording up to 50,000 neurons) for neural activity monitoring, combined with optogenetics, data analysis, and machine learning approaches to investigate the neural mechanisms of cognition.

The laboratory is affiliated with the Fudan SANS Neuroscience Center (under development) and the Institute for Translational Brain Research at Fudan University, both world-class research platforms offering a vibrant academic atmosphere. Research findings have been published in prestigious journals such as Nature, Nature Neuroscience, and Neuron.

To advance cutting-edge research, we warmly invite outstanding individuals interested in neuroscience to join our team (Ph.D. students, research assistants).
