Yixuan (Axe) Xie is an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Fudan SANS Neuroscience Center, Fudan University;. He received B.S. (honors) in Chemistry from Lanzhou University (2015) and received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis (2020), followed by postdoctoral and research work at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. From 2024 to 2026, he served as a Young Investigator at the Fudan University Greater Bay Area Institute of Precision Medicine, and since 2026 has been an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Fudan University. He currently serves as a China Young Representative of the Asia-Oceania Mass Spectrometry Conference (AOMSC).

GlycoXie lab focuses on innovating multi-omics technologies centered on biological mass spectrometry, aiming to decipher the structure, quantity, and function of complex modifications on nucleic acids and proteins, with a particular emphasis on biological glycosylation. Current work centers on the discovery and functional characterization of a novel class of glycosylated RNA (glycoRNA). Related findings have been published in journals including Cell, Nature, PNAS, Nature Communications, Protein & Cell, JACS Au, and Analytical Chemistry. He honors include the Chinese American Society for Mass Spectrometry (CASMS) Young Investigator Award, the American Chemical Society (ACS) Rising Star Award, and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Emerging Investigators.
